Drive Electric DC works to promote the transition to electric vehicles in the District of Columbia by connecting current EV drivers, potential EV drivers, fleets and charging vendors to improve EV infrastructure and knowledge about EV’s and EV incentives.

Drive Electric DC is a program of Drive Electric USA. The program was started by East Tennessee Clean Fuels (ETCF) and Clean Fuels Ohio (CFO) supported by the US Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) under the Vehicle Technologies Program Office, Award Number DE-EE0009228 and managed by the Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition.

The Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition (GWRCCC) is one of nearly 80 coalitions in the US that fosters economic, environmental, and energy security by working locally to advance affordable, domestic transportation fuels, energy efficient mobility systems, and other fuel-saving technologies and practices. The US Department of Energy (DOE) established the Clean Cities Coalition Network in 1993 to boost the country’s energy security, economic vitality, and quality of life by advancing affordable, efficient, and clean transportation fuels and technologies.
