Solar for All aims to bring the benefits of solar energy to 100,000 low to moderate income families in the District. DOEE is partnering with organizations across the District to install solar on single family homes and develop community solar projects to benefit renters and residents in multi-family buildings. Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Conversion and Infrastructure Tax Credit:
- Businesses and individuals are eligible for an income tax credit of 50% of the equipment and labor costs for the conversion of qualified AFVs, up to $19,000 per vehicle. A tax credit is also available for 50% of he equipment and labor costs for the purchase and installation of alternative fuel infrastructure on qualified AFV fueling property. The maximum credit is $1,000 per residential electric vehicle charging station, and $10,000 per publicly accessible AFV fueling station. Qualified alternative fuels include ethanol blends of at least 85%, natural gas, propane, biodiesel, electricity, and
hydrogen.

EmPower Maryland is a statewide initiative that offers a range of energy efficiency programs for residential and business customers, including Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE), Pepco, Delmarva Power, and Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO). The program includes rebates, incentives, and energy audits aimed at improving home and business energy efficiency.Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) Rebate Program:
The EVSE Rebate Program aims to
reduce the financial burden of acquiring and installing charging stations, and increase EV adoption in
support of the state’s EV deployment and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction goals. The Electric Vehicle
Supply Equipment (EVSE) Rebate Program provides funding assistance for eligible costs incurred
acquiring and installing qualified EV supply equipment, also referred to as charging stations.
Maryland Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs):

An Electric Vehicle Rebate Program for the purchase of new and used electric motor vehicles to provide an incentive to increase electric vehicle awareness and adoption among residents. Residents who purchase a new electric motor vehicle from a participating dealer shall be eligible for a rebate of $2,500.
